Saving the PDF and opening it in Adobe Reader X (10.1.0) prints correctly. Blank pages are printed regardless of the printer selected (HP C7280 and CutePDF writer tested). IE9, Adobe Reader X and the Adobe Reader X Toolbar can print to both printers correctly. Printing page is blank when printing from emails on HP Envy 5540 printer 11:45 AM @Purpleellen, welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
Currently on an HP laptop, Win8, printing to a HP Color Laser, no previous problems; all of a sudden, PDF's are printing blank pages. I can see the page fine. Safe mode without any addons has no change.
I printed my taxes out and had no problems. I've used IE (shudder) an been able to print PDF's fine. I have no PDF software itself on the computer, just using the browsers native support. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. Searching shows problems loading PDF's, but my problem is printing PDF's. Using version 29 of Firefox.
Anyone got any tips or clues how to hunt this down? Really close to introducing my computer to Mr. Currently on an HP laptop, Win8, printing to a HP Color Laser, no previous problems; all of a sudden, PDF's are printing blank pages. I can see the page fine.

I have a iMac intel core duo running os x 10.4.11. My printer is a Canon i960.
All of a sudden I have lost the ability to print normally from the internet. For ex., if I want to print an email, I'll follow the normal steps - print preview shows everything correctly and I print a blank sheet.
I've tried hilighting, print selection, etc and everything still comes out of the printer as a blank sheet. I was attempting to print directions in mapquest - everything appeared fine in the print preview - the map printed OK but the direction page was blank with very pale blue horizontal stripes and no text. I also cannot print using my text editor. However I have no trouble printing from Word or my iphoto pictures. I tried updating my drivers- all trouble shooting shows everything working OK.
I connected another laptop directly to my printer and tried to do all of the above and everything printed just fine. I removed and reinstalled my printer - I tried saving info in a pdf file - when I open it, all info is there but nothing prints.
What am I missing here???? Thanks, Frustrated. If I have this correct, In a web browser, when viewing a web page, you can go to File/Print/Save as PDF and it saves correctly. You can open the PDF and it appears correctly on the screen in either Adobe Reader or Preview. But, when you print it, you only get a blank sheet of paper. I really don't know what to tell you here.
First reaction is that there is no ink in the printer but you say you can print from Word & iPhoto. Other than that old standby, Repair Permissions, I'm stumped. You didn't mention what the browser was that you are using. If it's Safari, try using Firefox to see if that makes any difference. I found the fix to my problem which is just as bizarre- I had repaired my permission originally and that didn't change anything.
Both Firefox and Safari were affected the same way. I found a similar problem mentioned on the internet when I googled my info however it involved a different computer operating on Windows and using Firefox.
I use Firefox most of the time so thought I'd try it. It fixed my problem with Firefox and then everything else worked too - Safari, downloading a pdf file, printing from text editor etc. I don't understand why fixing the Firefox link, fixed everything else - seems like there should be no connection but I'm not complaining. These were the instructions:. open Firefox. in the location bar type about:config. scroll down to print.printprinter.
Right -click it and select Reset. restart Firefox Thanks for your help too!
